Who is providing this notice? This notice is provided by DeNooyer Brothers Inc, located at the above address, including all departments of our dealership (sales, finance and insurance, and our Service Department).

WHAT WE DO

How does DeNooyer Brothers Inc protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law, including the Federal Trade Commission’s Safeguards Rule under the Gramm- Leach-Bliley Act. These measures include computer safeguards, secured files, and buildings. We maintain an information security program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect customer information. We limit access to nonpublic personal information to those employees who need it to provide products and services to you.

How does DeNooyer Brothers Inc collect my personal information? We collect your personal information when you, for example:

  • Apply for financing or a lease
  • Purchase or lease a vehicle from us
  • Provide personal information for a vehicle quote or financial package estimate
  • Use our Service Department for vehicle maintenance, repairs, or warranty work
  • Provide your vehicle for a trade-in appraisal
  • Complete a credit application

DEFINITIONS

Affiliates. Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. DeNooyer Brothers Inc’s affiliates include the DeNooyer Agency.

Nonaffiliates. Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Nonaffiliates with which we may share include the manufacturer, finance sources and service providers.

Joint Marketing. A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

INFORMATION SHARING WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS

We may disclose the personal information described above to companies that perform services on our behalf, including companies that assist with marketing our products and services, such 4 as service department promotions and special offers. When we share information with service providers, we require them by contract to keep your information confidential and to use it only for the purpose for which we disclosed it to them.

SERVICE DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

In addition to the financial information described above, our Service Department may collect and maintain information about your vehicle’s service and repair history, warranty claims, parts orders, and related vehicle data. We use this information to provide service to your vehicle, to contact you regarding recommended maintenance or open recalls, and to improve our service operations. We may share service-related information with vehicle manufacturers for warranty processing and recall purposes, as permitted or required by law.

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

DeNooyer Brothers Inc may use artificial intelligence (“AI”) and automated decision-making technologies in connection with our business operations. These technologies may be used to enhance and personalize your experience, improve our services, and support our internal business functions. Specifically, we may use AI-powered tools for the following purposes:

  • Customer Communications. We may use AI-powered chatbots or virtual assistants on our website, mobile applications, or messaging platforms to respond to inquiries, schedule service appointments, and provide information about our vehicles, financing options, and Service Department offerings. When you interact with an AI-powered communication tool, your inputs and the information you provide may be collected, stored, and processed in accordance with this Privacy Notice. We will endeavor to clearly identify when you are communicating with an AI system rather than a human representative.
  • Marketing and Personalization. We may use AI tools to analyze your preferences, transaction history, and service records to provide you with personalized offers, service reminders, and promotional communications. These tools may use information such as your vehicle type, service history, and purchasing activity to tailor recommendations to your needs.
  • Fraud Detection and Prevention. We may use AI-based tools to detect and prevent fraudulent activity, including identity verification during financing transactions and the identification of suspicious patterns in credit applications.
  • Service Department Operations. Our Service Department may use AI-assisted diagnostic tools and predictive maintenance technologies that analyze vehicle data to recommend repairs or maintenance. These tools may process vehicle identification numbers, service history, and diagnostic information collected from your vehicle.
  • Automated Decision-Making. In certain circumstances, we may use automated tools to assist with decisions related to financing, insurance, or service recommendations. When automated decision-making is used in a manner that may have a significant effect on you, you may request information about the logic involved and, where required by applicable law, request human review of the decision.

Data Sharing with AI Vendors. We may share your personal information with third-party AI technology vendors that provide AI-powered tools and services on our behalf. Michigan Identity Theft Protection Act. Michigan Consumer Protection Act.
