We are not halfway through the year yet, and already we cannot wait for the arrival of 2022! Next year we will be adding two new models to our showroom, and at Metro Toyota, we are already making room for them.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra

The first new addition to get excited about is the 2022 Toyota Tundra. The popular pickup is making a comeback redesigned. Featuring a more powerful stance, with a large grille and a taller hood, you'll be turning heads in all the Portage, MI area.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra will run on a V6 engine - and jumping on the green bandwagon in the truck segment - will possibly also be available in a hybrid powertrain for maximum fuel efficiency.

The new Tundra will also have the latest technology and safety, such as Toyota's Entune infotainment, which features an available 12-inch touchscreen, a large head-up display, and more. As far as driver assisting aids, the 2022 Tundra will include Safety Sense with automatic braking, lane centering and lane keep assist, advanced radar cruise control, and many others. Look for it at Metro Toyota late this year or the beginning of next year.

The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross

Toyota is launching an entirely new SUV model. Don't be misled by the word "Corolla" in its name because there is no association. This compact crossover is a little smaller than the RAV4 and already sold in Thailand.

The model currently being sold in Asia runs on a four-cylinder engine, so we expect it to be equipped with the same when it makes its debut in the US early next year. A hybrid powertrain on the Corolla Cross is optional in Thailand, but rumor has it that it will probably be standard when it makes its arrival in America.

Inside, the Corolla Cross is bigger than the Toyota C-HR model, with plenty of room for passengers and cargo area. The mini-SUV features a 7-inch or optional 8-inch infotainment system and comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard safety features will make the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross safe to drive all over Kalamazoo.
